The New 'Thor: Ragnarok' Trailer Is Here (And It Shows Thor, Hulk And Doctor Strange Kicking Serious Ass)

While Thor and Thor: The Dark World definitely connected with moviegoers, there's no question (despite the Avengers films) that there's still been a bit of a disconnect between the character and filmgoers. It seems that Marvel is out to change that with Thor: Ragnarok, the international trailer for which has just been released and which, like the trailers that have already come out, promises to bring with it a Guardians Of The Galaxy sense of fun.

We've already gotten a sense of the "buddy cop" vibe between Chris Hemsworth's Thor and Mark Ruffalo's Hulk, and while we're not sure at this point that three of them will ultimately come together, the Master Of The Mystic Arts (Benedict Cumberbatch) is definitely seen here in conversation with the God Of Thunder (face it, everybody's got a nick-name in these films).

Here's how EW describes the film: "Thor will arrive in Asgard after hearing about trouble in his home world, and when he arrives he finds Loki's style of ruling (while impersonating Odin) has led to some lapses in the rules and leads to the freeing of prisoner Hela. Thor and Hela naturally come to blows when they meet, which sees Thor 'blasted' to Sakaar, described as 'a barbaric planet ruled by the charming but nefarious Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum).' There he meets Valkyrie, who is hiding out on the planet, and brings him to the Grandmaster to make him a gladiator, where he meets the most popular competitor in the arena, The Hulk, and loses his trademark hair and hammer. After the two Avengers reunite, the film turns into a road trip."

The film also sees Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba and Jaimie Alexander reprising their respective roles of Loki, Heimdall and Sif, with new additions Cate Blanchett (Hela), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), and Karl Urban (Skurge). Naturally Hemsworth will be reprising the role of Thor yet again in next May's Avengers: Infinity War.

Thor: Ragnarok arrives in theaters on November 3rd.
