Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory is irrefutably one of the best movies of all time. If you think for a second that we're referring to the one with Johnny Depp, then we're going to have to ask you a leave. We're talking about the Gene Wilder classic that turned every child's dream into a reality. Well, at least on screen. We could watch that movie over and over and never get sick of it! It truly is a world of pure imagination (and empty calories).
Everyone knows the best part of that movie is the chocolate factory itself. Damn, that thing was impressive, even in 1971. Can you imagine how tricked out it would be in 2018? Beyond that, what the hell would it cost to run? As it turns out, Advanced Tech decided to figure that very question out. In the infographic below, they break down everything from how much the Oompa Loompas would get paid to how much it would take to power the chocolate river. Sigh, why can't we have a chocolate river in the office?
Is it just us, or did that infographic make you hungry? Anyway, it's a damn shame Wonka isn't real because he could give Cadbury a serious run for their money. Hell, he could Jeff Bezsos a serious run for his money. The fact that it would cost a whopping $224.6 million to keep the factory running each year is pretty mind-blowing.
Beyond that, the fact it would be worth $21.5 billion has us considering going into the chocolate business. What do you guys think, sound like a delicious idea?
