Xbox gamers, rejoice! The Xbox One Backward Compatibility program is going to allow users to play all three generations of Xbox games on a single console. Of course, you'll need to own an Xbox One in order to snag this amazing deal, but, hey! Think of the benefit! When has a console ever been compatible with this many games from year's past — we can't think of a single example, y'all.

Unless you want to count the voodoo magic some folks use to transform their old consoles into new ones, but frankly, that seems like a lot of darn effort. According to Xbox Wire:

"Starting tomorrow (today), for the first time, you’ll be able to play three generations of games on one console – a curated list of Original Xbox classics like Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and more will be available across the entire Xbox One family of devices. And when Xbox One X launches on Nov. 7, you can run select Xbox 360 games at higher resolution, 9X the original pixel count, and with expanded color details. Xbox One X Enhanced Xbox 360 games will include favorites like Halo 3 and Fallout 3."

Below is the first round of games being incorporated into the compatibility program:

On Tuesday, November 7 the following Xbox 360 games will also be joining the compatibility program:

If you happen to be an Xbox Game Pass member, you'll be able to access the original Ninja Gaiden Black for free as a perk of your subscription.
