Whether you're 25, 45, or somewhere in-between, it's safe to say that video games hold some sort of special place in your heart. Think about it, they're a great way to blow off steam without having to resort to booze, gambling, or strip clubs. Seriously, as much as women complain about their boyfriends and husbands playing video games, they should really consider consoles like Xbox and PS4 a God send — there's a lot worse your dude can be doing, ladies.
That being said, even the most experienced gamers might not be up and up on the latest and greatest in tips, tricks, and hacks. That's why, with a little help from the world wide web, we put together a quick list below for y'all to reference.
Your Xbox One has three USB 3.0 ports to add accessories to your console.
You can add an external hard drive, plug in a USB webcam to Skype, or even add a TV tuner to broadcast live television.
Record Your Gaming
If you've done something particularly badass during a game and want to share it with your friends, or the internet at large, press the Xbox button on the controller and press X. That'll capture the last 30 seconds of gameplay.
If you want to record the entirety of your gameplay: press the Xbox button, then the menu button and select "Start Recording".
Up Your Controller Game
The Xbox One Controller has a secret feature — using a USB cable or Bluetooth (on newer controllers) you can use the Xbox One gamepad with any Windows PC.
Newer controllers also have a headphone jack so you can game or steam without bothering anyone around you.
- If you have a PC that runs Windows 10 you can use the Xbox app to stream from your Xbox One to your computer.
With these nifty little hacks, you'll be upping your Xbox game in no time. Remember, you're never too old for some video games, don't let the haters bring you down!
