Kanye West's Newest Adidas Yeezy 500 “Desert Rats" Look Just Like Dad Shoes

Other than some classic or re-released Air Jordans, there might not be a more desired pair of shoes for collectors to get their hands on than the Kanye West Yeezy Boosts. A collaboration which first started with adidas back in 2015, since then, sneakerheads and fashion folks have lined up for and dropped hundreds and/or thousands of dollars on the Kanye West sneakers.

Following the initial release of the Yeezy Boosts, Kanye West and adidas have had two more shoes — three total — that have hit the market, with the things selling out faster than anyone could have ever imagined. And, with his latest release, the Season 6 Yeezy Desert Rat 500, the Yeezy Boosts don't exactly look like a pair of sneakers most men would want to wear — unless you're a dad who's looking to go for a walk in the park or go mow the lawn. Then again, that's just our own, personal opinion.

With adidas recently releasing the Kanye West Yeezy Desert Rat 500, people have done anything they can to try and get their hands on the new shoe. They don't come cheap, however, with Kanye West and adidas pulling a pretty genius move on consumers. That's because, to get the newest Yeezys, customers must purchase $500 worth of sweats, too, in a strategy that GQ wonders might have just outsmarted the retail market?

Now, we're not sure if the bundle is worth dropping a cool $500 on, but for collectors, sneakerheads and those who care about social status, it may be worth doing. Naturally, though, the Yeezy Desert Rat 500 sneaks aren't really something the general public can probably afford. Something tells us that won't stop other people from getting themselves a pair, though.

Still, the latest Kanye West Yeezy is something that should only be worn by people with extreme confidence, because these may be worse than those Steph Curry dad shoes from a couple years ago. Hey, to each is own, we suppose!?!
